12 week product design project

Using computer vision, Amora captures the cooking process and transforms it into actionable instructions for children who have moved away from home. Completed in collaboration with Arushi Agrawal, Daniel Lee, and Annie Shin.
AMORA

As we grow older, staying connected to loved ones becomes more challenging. The routines that once aligned begin to drift, making it harder to relive those comforting, nostalgic memories. Yet, through food, a powerful sense of connection remains. Recipes passed down through generations carry more than just instructions, they hold heritage, identity, and love.

Using computer vision, Amora captures qualitative and quantitative data from the parent’s side and transforms it into actionable instructions for the child. Acting as a personal guide, it translates instructions like “a pinch of pepper” into clear steps.
